Knopman Marks Financial Training was established in 1991 by Harvey Knopman. With over forty years of
domestic and international securities training and development experience, Mr. Knopman has designed and
executed a broad range of training programs. He has delivered training programs on five continents and
prepared over 100,000 students for various licensing examinations, 95% of whom passed on their first attempt.
As the longest tenured instructor in the industry, Mr. Knopman's knowledge and expertise have made him a
leader in his field and gained him the respect of training professionals and clients alike. He has used
these well-honed skills not only to meet, but to exceed clients’ and students’ expectations. The firm
Mr. Knopman created has flourished and grown over the past 24 years under his direction. Mr. Knopman has
been at the forefront of a unique and attentive training company that is committed to making sure every
client and student receives the utmost service and instruction.
Mr. Knopman began his career in the financial training sector in 1975 at Securities Training Corporation,
where he held the position of Vice President and served on the Board of Directors. During his twelve years
at STC, he gained significant experience designing, and managing training programs for various securities
From 1987 until 1991, Mr. Knopman was Vice President at the First Boston
Corporation, managing the Sales and Trading Training Programs for all of the company’s domestic and
international branches. He was responsible for the training activities for the Equity, Fixed Income and
Research Departments, and oversaw the continuing education programs and seminars for support staff and
client training. Mr. Knopman also served as a Marketing Representative for First Boston Asset Management
Corporation, selling investment management services to Fortune 500 Companies.
Mr. Knopman has taught classes in finance and investments at the New York University School of Continuing
Education. He holds a BBA from Bernard M. Baruch College, and a MBA from Fordham University. He has also
held the Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. He has also been a member of the NYSE/NASD Series 7 item writing
committee, where he was actively involved in the composition of the Series 7 Exam.
Mr. Marks began his work at Knopman Marks Financial Training in 2004. Over the past ten years, he has successfully
trained over 15,000 students for the various FINRA exams, including the Series 3, Series 6, Series 7,
Series 24, Series 55, Series 63, Series 65, Series 66, Series 79, Series 86, Series 87 and Series 99.
Mr. Marks’ personal dedication and passion for teaching consistently helps to achieve some of the best pass
rates on Wall Street. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he also leads the development and
implementation of Knopman Internet Training and the Knopman Mobile App.
In 2010 Mr. Marks became a partner at Knopman Marks Financial Training and was nominated to the Board of Directors
of the company.
Mr. Marks obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Streiff joined Knopman Marks Financial Training in 2006. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day
business of the company, and ensuring the firm’s financial and operational success. Ms. Streiff oversees
product development and production, marketing and sales, order fulfillment, ELearning tools, mobile
application, and web development. Ms. Streiff maintains excellent relationships with Knopman Marks’s clientele
and helps design and execute programs that are tailored to each firm’s specific needs. She is also
responsible for evaluating student and instructor performance, as well as refining and improving the on-site,
on-line, and mobile training offerings of Knopman Marks Financial.
Ms. Streiff obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Ian Franklin joined Knopman Marks Financial Training in 2011. Over the past three years, he has
trained over 3,000 students for the various FINRA examinations, including the
Series 3, 7, 17, 52, 55, 63, 65, 66 and 79. Ian provides each student with personal attention
and support to help them succeed in their preparation. Ian’s teaching style helps his students
thrive, both in the classroom setting and on a one-on-one tutoring basis. Ian also plays an
integral role in helping to ensure the course content and practice questions remain up to date
so that Knopman Marks continues to deliver the most effective study material.
Ian graduated with college honors and received a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Randi Cole joined Knopman Marks in 2010. As a Client Relations Specialist, she plays an important
role in supporting our students, registration personnel, and program managers. She is responsible
for many aspects of the daily operations of the office, communicating expectations, and liaising
between departments to coordinate team activities. Randi is also a certified Life Coach, helping
people achieve both personal and professional success. She received her Bachelor of Science degree
from the University of Miami Florida.
David Meshkov is one of Knopman Marks Financial Training’s most dynamic and sought after instructors.
He prepares students in the classroom and individually for the Series 7, 24, 55, 63, 65, 66, 79, 86, 87
and 99 examinations. In addition, David serves as Knopman Marks’s Chief Content Officer, drawing on his
legal training to build and edit all Knopman Marks classes to ensure they reflect the latest legislative
and rule-making changes.
Prior to joining Knopman Marks Financial Training David practiced bankruptcy law at
Weil, Gotshal and Manages, LLP, and served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James M. Peck in the
Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. He graduated magna cum laude from
Fordham Law School, and cum laude with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Howard Kaplan joined Knopman Marks Financial Training in 2014. He has worked in the financial training
industry for the past 27 years. Howard teaches classes and works individually with candidates to
help them pass various FINRA examinations, including the
Series 4, 7, 9, 10, 14, 24, 27, 53, 63, and 99 exams.
Howard received a BA from SUNY Oswego in 1983.
Marcia Larson’s career includes over 25 years in financial product management, content development, training, and domestic and international business development. Prior to joining Knopman Financial Training Group, she served as Director of Annuity Products and Business Development for CUNA Mutual Group and Vice President of Securities Products for Kaplan Financial. As a key member of the wealth management team at CUNA Mutual Group, she managed partner distribution relationships and helped develop industry leading annuity products and solutions to financial advisors focused on retirement planning. While at Kaplan she was responsible for securities licensing, continuing education, and other custom training and compliance programs. She has authored numerous financial training courses and trained hundreds of candidates for securities and insurance exams.
Marcia was a summa cum laude graduate of Wartburg College with degrees in Business Administration and Piano Performance. Marcia also holds the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), and Fellow Life Management Institute™ (FLMI®).
Kelsey joined Knopman Marks in 2014 as a part-time coordinator during her junior year of college. After graduating in 2016 she joined the team full-time as an Operations Analyst. Her primary responsibilities are managing our live and virtual classes and student experience. In addition, she oversees the summer graduate program logistics.
Prior to joining Knopman Marks, she worked in Business Development at various non-profits.
Kelsey received her BA in International Studies and History from City College.
Leigh Yanocha joined Knopman Marks Financial Training in 2016 focused on Business Development and Client Relationship Management. Leigh is primarily focused on building campus relationships and partnering with our financial institution clients to grow our Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam business.
Prior to joining Knopman Marks, she worked in Human Resources in various capacities including Campus Recruiting & Entry Programs at Morgan Stanley and Training & Development at Goldman Sachs. Leigh brings a deep understanding of undergraduate and graduate training needs. Her work centers around her passion to prepare students for their role in financial services.
Leigh received her BA in Communication from Rutgers University.
